Deep Well Ranch was purchased by Frank and Melba Bennett in 1930, they in turn transformed the ranch into a guest ranch for tourists. The Bennett’s were very much involved with Palm Springs, helping to establish the Desert Hospital, the Palm Springs Historical Society and the Chilld Developement Center. In the 1950’s they leased the ranch to a Boston developer who turned into a resort. Melba died in 1968 and Frank in 1972. In 1970 the ranch was sold and became an exclusive subdivision of homes. -Rj
