Portraits of celebrated (and unheralded) people. Let's face it, though, it's mostly an AMG blog.

Closeup # 2
I have long wanted to do a series on complete runs of the early AMG albums — the first twelve photos in a set, sold as a group — and I can now do Albums O, P, Q, R, and S. These are mostly solo albums, since the A-Z and ZA-ZZ series featured more solo than variety albums and catalogues, even as the latter grew to an often alarming size.
Album O is unusual in that, like Album M, the whole catalogue is just the album of twelve images. Another unusual feature, as I discovered, is that Album O is a dual album, since Ken Rashoff appears in nine images and Larry Farrell appears in three.
Finally, Album O has a numbers of images stamped to indicate the image has been reversed, so I will show both versions.

Album 0 (7-12)
And yet it seems that there is no mystery, really, and Album O is in fact a shared album — perhaps because there were not enough Rashoff photos to make an album of twelve images, let alone enough to fill a catalogue of extras?
In any case, Larry Farrell appears in Album 0 with Ken Rashoff, which makes both standalone albums variety (rather than solo) efforts.
Revisited: Larry Farrell and Ken Rashoff
Back in February 2024, I wrote about how Ken Rashoff and Larry Farrell are often confused for one another. Farrell had his own album and catalogue (L13), as well as a shared catalogue with Andy Kozak (U13), while Rashoff is said to have one of only two AMG albums without a catalogue of extras (O) — the other is M.
I have sometimes seen and handled Farrell photos marked 0 — a curiosity, I thought, an artifact of a later hand unfamiliar with the difference between Rashoff and Farrell.
