Quinn Sondergaard is one of those AMG models whose striking features linger on the mind, so I’ve been musing about why I could not find him in the Guild’s own literature. True, he appears in the appendix section of the Directory, teasing the XA-XZ catalogues (later gathered in Grecian Guild Studio Quarterly No. 17), but there the trail seemed to end.
Well, Reader, I found him, by going through the various AMG Bulletin pages, looking for XA-XZ catalogues. He appears, not as Quinn Sondergaard, but as Gail Sonderberg, in the XT album (between Bob Shouse and Bob Storr). Indeed, as Sonderberg he appears in Quarterly 17, although the image is so dark — and the renaming so comprehensive — that I have always missed him.
