Don Peters (1936-2001) was active during the Venice Beach era and promoted by the Weider brothers. At one time Peters lived in a Sherman Oaks house loaned to him by James Larsen with a full gym and swimming pool that was known as the party house by the bodybuilder set. Larsen was a wealthy business man who owned Academy Films that produced educational films, he employed Peters in the shipping department. Larsen was known as Dr Strangelove by the bodybuilders as he was more than fond of them. Supposedly the party house had a two way mirror where Larsen and friends could watch bodybuilders work out nude ! Quite the looking glass, and bodybuilders involved didn’t seem to mind as they were not having sex with Larsen and his voyeur friends, just giving them a show. -Rj
