Handsome Meyer might as well be nude :) Mizer was at his artistic best at this time. The artistry began to slip as Mizer became more involved with producing Physique Pictorial. No doubt Mizer just did not have the time. -Rj
Yes, it does seem like Mizer was over-extended. The magazine, the films, the real estate! And there must have been extensive office work, all of it in competition with the artistry he so readily documented in the early years.
Not to mention Mizer’s off and on again legal troubles. From imprisonment to harassment from the LAPD. Back in the day when judges and prosecutors were zealous. Not to mention, when Chief Parker reformed and professionalized the LAPD during his tenure 1950-1966, there were still enough bad apples to spoil the rest of the barrel. -Rj
