Mr Venice Beach contest 1954 L to R - Lou Degni, Harry Schwartz and Lynn Lyman. The Mr Venice Beach contest began in 1951 and continues to this day. Degni and Schwartz were featured muscleman in the Las Vegas revue of Mae West. Degni later went by the name Mark Forrest and was a star in Italian sword and sandal films. Degni. He then sought a career as a bel canto opera singer in Italy, came back to the USA and was a vocal coach. Schwartz became a successful gym owner. -Rj
