Sam Hunter was blond. He resembles Jack Thomas of Nor Cal, who may have traveled to Muscle Beach to check it out as other bodybuilders from across the country had done. The trio certainly got the attention of the crowd. And in the background is the Hotel Chase which was called the Grand Hotel when it first opened in 1932. Today the site of the Sea Castle Apartments with studio and one bedroom units that rent for $3000 a month. -Rj
