Kozak was a physique model from 1947-1956 and posed for Mizer, Martin, Spartan, Ko’Vert photographed a 22 year old Kozak first in 1944, and Denfield who discovered him at Marshall’s Beach near the Golden Gate Bridge, a nude beach popular with gay men. He also posed in duals with his brother Steve. Little known is that Kozak sold his own set of photographs featured in physique magazine ads, like Strength and Health, in the late 1940’s out of his home at 1493 West Adams blvd in Los Angeles. Kozak died in June 2024 at age 99. -Rj
Andy Kozak also posed with Forrester Millard and Larry Farrell (and others) — his imprint was large at AMG, with solo and group catalogues and then supporting Richard Du Bois in the early ‘50s.
