  1. Mae West had the idea to use muscle men in her Las Vegas revue show of 1954-1959, the muscle man revue became so popular it toured the country. Eiferman lined up the bodybuilders at Mae’s request that included himself, Irv Koszewski, Joe Gold, Les Schaefer, Dominic Juliano, Harry Schwartz, Armand Tanny, Dick Dubois and Chuck Krauser in the revues first year. Later bodybuilders Lou Degni, Mickey Hargitay, Reg Lewis, Gordon Mitchell and Dan Vadis were in Mae’s stable of studs.
Dubois opted out when Mae put too many nocturnal demands on him. Dubois was replaced by Mickey Hargitay, who in turn rejected Mae and got into fusty cuffs with Chuck Krauser, and then left the revue to marry Jayne Mansfield. Krauser was made to change his name to Paul Novak by Mae to avoid bad publicity from his fight with Hargitay. Krauser’s real name was Chester Rybinski, he and many of the bodybuilders in Mae’s revue had been physique models.
Eiferman said the bodybuilders would prank Mae on occasion.
One time one of the bodybuilders opened his cape in front of Mae, his back to the audience, and stood full nude with an erection for Mae to admire. Mae in true fashion didn’t skip a beat and told the audience you should see what I see !
Another time some of the bodybuilders were in the backstage hallway wearing their gladiator skirts and bent over revealing their bare asses to Mae and the owner of the club they were performing in. Mae quipped you should see what they do when no one’s around.
Eiferman said he had very fond memories of working with Mae and assisting in creating her revue show.
