  1. Eddie Albert is best known as Oliver Douglas on the tv show Green Acres of the 1960’s, and in 1936 appeared on one of the experimental tv broadcasts for RCA.
    During Ww2 Albert served as a lieutenant in the US Navy and was at the Battle of Tarawa where he saved the lives 47 Marines and 30 others under heavy gunfire. Albert was awarded a Bronze Star for his heroic efforts. Albert’s career was sidetracked and his wife Margo’s ruined by the Hollywood blacklist.
    A life lived well.
