I find I always have to revisit Jerry Stevens/Bob Stevens/Jerry Dixon/Sherwood Forrester to sort (and resort) them out. In the two AMG model directories, Jerry Dixon is YX 11 and Sherwood Forrester is XU 6; of the two, I would say Sherwood Forrester (round of face) is more likely Wiler’s companion in the pool. (Now I’m not sure which WPG model is which, since Jerry and Sherwood seem to have merged…)
Tricky question - imho Dave's partner is Bob Stevens (AMG 1000 model directory - page 78). According to the AMG Bulletin 16 his catalog is XG13 (XG11-H). In the Taschen Book by Dian Hanson the same photo is labeled as Jerry Stevens - page 506 of Vol1. Therefor I think that the photo - posted here March 24 2024 - shows Bob/Jerry Stevens (sitting) and Jerry Dixon (standing).
It’s a struggle, isn’t it? Dixon & Stevens appear together on p. 78 of the directory, so between Jerry Dixon in the main body of the text and Bob Stevens in the appendix (teasing future AMG issues), I think the pair can be identified. Where it gets tricky is in the Grecian Guild’s pamphlet (p. 20), but I would say that the Sherwood Forrester shown there (like Stevens, scheduled for one of the XA-XZ catalogues) is Bob Stevens. It gives me a headache, though!
I agree: it's really a struggle - I have changed the label of these photos many times - regarding Grecian Guild 17 pog20: I think this is really Sherwood Forrester - comparing the photos I have from this session in the GG (with the mirror) with the photos from the Bob/Jerry Stevens and Sherwood Forrester photo shooting (pg 91 of directory)
I would wager Dave's companion in the first photo is Jerry Stevens.
