Golden boy Mike Sill (1934-1994) A Mormon boy from Utah whose father was a Mormon elder. As a bodybuilder he won the Jowett Trophy 1950 at 16, Mr Utah Jr 1955 and Mr Utah 1956. Sill was an all-round athlete in high school and college, despite having suffered rickets as a child. He went out to Hollywood in the mid 1950’s where he had a few uncredited bit parts, but it was fleeting as he would not put out on the casting couch. Sill was discovered by Dave Martin who coaxed Sill to pose full nude. Sill also posed for Bruce Bellas, as seen here, Bob Delmonteque and William Domenique (in 1959, when Sill was on a two year Mormon mission in London). Proud of his fine physique, Sill was said to enjoy baring it for the camera despite his Mormon upbringing. -Rj
